PROGRESS REPORT 1

This picture is of some dimensional weavings I'm experimenting with. They were created on pressing hams using t-pins as anchors for the warp. The intention is to create seamless woven structures to be used sculpturally or as bodies for puppets.

Loving Saori. I cant stop looking at this and thinking of ways to do intuitive weaving on my rigid heddle loom.  Made this at Saori Santa Cruz with Alisa a couple weeks ago, the squiggly parts on the right are her work and improvisation.  Love.

LOVE. saori is to weaving what Gee's Bend is to quilting. as in, MAKES ME WANT TO!!!

Oh, Cal! You have no idea! You should totally get into Saori style weaving. You can do it with just a loom you make too… and then use it for yolks and details on handmade clothes! Yay to Saori!
